Why this automation is useful#

Scraped company names carry noise. Lists from directories, maps, and social platforms often include legal suffixes, extra punctuation, and uneven capitalization.

The agent returns a standardized name. For example, a raw value like "Acme, LLC" comes back as "Acme". Clean names make CRM dedupe accurate, because "Acme, LLC" and "Acme Inc." no longer create two accounts.

Clean names also fix personalization. A merge tag prints the company field word for word, so a suffix in the field ends up in the email. Run this agent on the CSV from a scraper run, before you load the list into an outreach tool.

Use cases#

  1. Clean a scraped lead list before cold email. A scraper can put values like "Acme, LLC" in the company column. Run the column through this agent before you load the CSV into your cold email tool. The merge tag prints "Acme" instead of the legal name. Cleaner first lines protect your reply rate.
  2. Normalize company names for CRM dedupe. Import files from different sources rarely match. "Acme, LLC" and "Acme Inc" create duplicate accounts in the CRM. Clean every list with the same agent before import. The dedupe rules can then catch the duplicates.
  3. Deliver clean lead lists as an agency. Clients judge a list by how it imports into their CRM. Run this agent on the CSV from your scraper. The delivered CSV has clean company names that need no manual fixes.
  4. Standardize account names as a freelancer. Clients send lists in mixed formats. Pass each list through the agent before you upload it to the sending tool. Every campaign then uses the same name format.
  5. Feed clean names to outreach sequences. Run the agent on the scraper CSV and map the company column to the input. Then load the result into your outreach tool. It sends with clean company names and no spreadsheet cleanup.

How to use it#

  1. Open Company Name Cleaner in the TexAu Desktop app.
  2. Enter one company name in the Full name of the company field.
  3. Run the automation.
  4. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

This agent needs no account connection. Run it on the CSV from a scraper run, before outreach. Map the scraped company name column to the Full name of the company input.

Limits and limitations#

  • TexAu sets a default limit of 10000 executions per day for this automation.
  • The agent cleans one value per execution. Run it with a CSV to process a full column. The app runs the agent once per row.
  • The agent standardizes the name text. It does not verify that the company exists.

FAQ#

Q: How many company names can I clean per day? A: TexAu sets a default limit of 10000 executions per day for this automation. Each execution cleans one company name.

Q: Can a platform restrict my account when I use this agent? A: No. This agent does not connect to any platform account. It processes the text you enter.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: No. The agent runs on your computer and uses no platform session. A proxy is not required.

Q: What account or subscription do I need? A: None. The agent works on text input only. You do not connect any platform account.

Q: Does the automation dedupe repeated runs? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same company name.

Q: Where do results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: What cleaning does the agent apply? A: It returns a standardized version of the name. For example, "Acme, LLC" comes back as "Acme". The result appears in the Output Company Name column.

Q: Can I clean a full column of names at once? A: Yes. Run the agent with your CSV and map the column to the input. The app runs the agent once per row.

Troubleshooting#

The output field is empty. The agent did not parse the input. Shorten the input to one value and run again.

The output looks wrong for my input. Check the input format. The agent expects one value per run, for example one company name or one headline.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
