Why this automation is useful#

Your following list shapes your LinkedIn feed. LinkedIn does not offer a native export of this list. This automation gives you the full list in one CSV.

The export includes headline, job title, company, and follower count for each profile. You can sort and filter the list in a spreadsheet. You can spot accounts that no longer match your goals.

The run works on the connected account only. No profile URL input is needed. Set the extract limit and run the automation.

Use cases#

  1. Clean up your feed for better signal. Export everyone you follow. Filter the CSV for off-topic headlines and companies. Unfollow those accounts to make your feed relevant to your market.
  2. Audit a sales rep's following list before a campaign. Export the list and check that the rep follows target accounts, prospects, and industry voices. Add the missing accounts. Reps who follow prospects see buying signals earlier.
  3. Map a new client's network during agency onboarding. Connect the client's account and export the following list. Segment it by company and job title. Use the segments to plan content themes and engagement targets.
  4. Build a deliberate content diet as a freelancer. Export your following list. Compare it against the top voices in your niche. Follow the missing voices and engage with their posts daily to grow your visibility.
  5. Prepare an unfollow campaign in batches. Sort the export by follower count and headline. Flag low-value accounts. Work through the flagged list in batches of 50 to keep the account natural.
  6. Document an account's ecosystem for a handoff. Export the following list before you hand an account to a client or a teammate. The CSV records who the account followed at that date.

How to use it#

  1. Connect your LinkedIn account with the TexAu browser extension.
  2. Open LinkedIn Following Export in the TexAu Desktop app.
  3. Set the extract limit. The maximum is 5000 profiles per launch.
  4. Run the automation.
  5. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

The automation reads the following list of the connected account. It does not take a profile URL input.

Limits and limitations#

  • This automation has no built-in execution limit. Your account rate limits still apply.
  • The extract limit caps at 5000 followed profiles per launch.
  • The automation extracts only the following list of the connected account. It cannot read another user's list.
  • LinkedIn can change the following page layout. A layout change can affect extraction until TexAu updates the automation.

FAQ#

Q: How many profiles can I export per day? A: This automation has no built-in execution limit. Each launch can extract up to 5000 profiles. Your account rate limits still apply.

Q: Can LinkedIn restrict my account if I use this automation? A: Yes, if you exceed safe usage levels. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep your runs moderate even without a built-in limit.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.

Q: What LinkedIn account do I need? A: A free LinkedIn account is enough. The automation reads the following list of the connected account.

Q: Can I export the following list of another user? A: No. The automation extracts only the list of the connected account. There is no profile URL input.

Q: Does the automation remove duplicates? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.

Q: Where do my results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: Does the export include company pages I follow? A: The export lists the profiles in your following list. Rows include a company name when the profile data shows one.

Troubleshooting#

The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.

The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.

The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.

The automation stops before it reaches my extract limit. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
