Why this automation is useful#

Channel research by hand means opening each channel page and copying values one at a time. This automation writes the full channel profile to one CSV row.

The export goes beyond YouTube. The website, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter columns turn a channel into a multi-channel lead record.

The keywords column shows the topics the channel targets. The subscriber count and the verification badge support fast influencer vetting.

Use cases#

  1. Build an influencer prospect list from one niche. Scrape channels that match your target topic. Filter the CSV by subscriber count and verification status. Load the website and social profile columns into your outreach tool. Track reply rate per channel size.
  2. Monitor competitor channels month over month. Scrape your top competitor channels on a fixed schedule. Compare subscriber counts and keywords across runs. Feed the changes into your monthly content planning.
  3. Find sponsorship targets for a product launch. Export channels in your buyer's niche. Keep the rows that list a website or a social profile. Contact the owners with a flat-fee sponsorship offer.
  4. Qualify podcast and collaboration guests. Check the description, keywords, and verification badge before you book a guest. Cross-check the linked Twitter and Instagram profiles for audience overlap.
  5. Pitch channel services as a freelancer. Scrape channels in your service niche. Flag rows with no banner, no website, or a thin description. Send each owner a short audit and a fixed-scope offer.
  6. Map a new market for an agency client. Scrape the channels that define the client's niche. Cluster them by the keywords column. Present the clusters as the content landscape in your strategy deck.

How to use it#

  1. Open YouTube Channel Scraper in the TexAu Desktop app.
  2. Enter the channel URL. Sample value: https://www.youtube.com/@billgates.
  3. Run the automation.
  4. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

The automation reads public YouTube data. No account connection is needed.

Limits and limitations#

  • This automation has no built-in execution limit. Your account rate limits still apply.
  • The automation reads public channel data only. Private analytics, for example watch time and revenue, are not available.
  • A field can be empty when the channel does not show it publicly.
  • YouTube can change its page layout at any time. A layout change can affect which fields populate.

FAQ#

Q: How many channels can I scrape per day? A: This automation has no built-in execution limit. High-volume runs can still hit YouTube rate limits, so keep your daily volume moderate.

Q: Can YouTube block me for scraping channels? A: No account is connected, so your YouTube account is not at risk. High-volume runs from one network connection can hit temporary YouTube rate limits. TexAu adds random delays between requests.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.

Q: Do I need a YouTube account or a paid subscription? A: No. The channel data this automation reads is public on YouTube. No account connection is needed.

Q: Does the automation dedupe results? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.

Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: Why is the subscribers count a text value? A: YouTube displays rounded counts, for example "1.2M". The automation exports the displayed value as text.

Q: Why are the social profile columns empty for some channels? A: The automation reads the links the channel lists publicly. Channels that do not list links return empty fields.

Troubleshooting#

The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.

Some fields are empty in the CSV. YouTube does not publish every field for every video or channel. Private, deleted, or region-locked videos return fewer fields.

The run returns no data for a valid URL. The video or channel can be private, deleted, or region-locked. Try a different URL to confirm.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
