Why this automation is useful#
Curated lists are pre-qualified audiences. The list owner already filtered accounts by topic, role, or interest. This automation turns a list into a CSV of full profiles.
The export gives you follower counts, bios, locations, and DM availability. You can rank members by audience size. You can filter for accounts that accept direct messages.
Manual collection means opening every profile one by one. The automation removes that work. One run collects up to 1000 members.
Use cases#
- Build a prospect list from a competitor's curated list. Competitors and analysts maintain lists of accounts in your market. Export the members. Load the CSV into your cold email tool and message the accounts marked DM Open.
- Find journalists and analysts who cover your niche. Industry voices curate lists of reporters and podcasters. Export the member profiles. Pitch the ones with the right beat and audience size.
- Deliver audience maps to clients. Agencies can export the members of lists that matter to a client. Segment the CSV by follower count and location. Present the segments in the strategy deck.
- Target conference speakers before an event. Event accounts and attendees curate speaker lists. Export the list members. Book meetings before the event starts and track meetings booked as the outcome.
- Source clients as a freelancer. Niche operators curate lists of founders and marketing managers. Export those members. Filter by bio keywords and location. Send a tailored offer to the top 20 profiles.

FAQ#
Q: How many list members can I export per day? A: This automation has no built-in execution limit. Your account rate limits still apply. One launch extracts up to 1000 members.
Q: Can X (Twitter) restrict my account for exporting list members? A: Yes, if you exceed the platform rate limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep your daily volume low to reduce risk.
Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.
Q: What account do I need? A: A free X (Twitter) account is enough. A private list also requires view access from that account.
Q: Does the automation dedupe results? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.
Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.
Q: Can I extract a private list? A: Yes, if your connected account can view the list. Lists hidden from your account return no data.
Q: What happens when a list has more than 1000 members? A: The extract limit caps one launch at 1000 members. The cap comes from the input setting.
Troubleshooting#
The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.
The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.
The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.
The automation stops before it reaches my extract limit. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.
The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
