Why this automation is useful#
Course research by hand means scrolling page after page of search results. This automation exports up to 1000 courses from one search into a CSV file. You can sort by viewers, release date or duration in a spreadsheet.
Use cases#
- Plan training for a team. Search a skill, for example "Project Management". Sort by viewers and release date. Pick recent, popular courses for your team.
- Research a topic before you create content. Export the courses on a topic. The titles and authors show which angles already exist.
- Find experts to contact. The Author Name column lists the people who teach a topic. Use the list for podcast guests or partnerships.
- Track a topic over time. Run the same keyword each month. Compare new courses and viewer counts.
How to use it#

- Open LinkedIn Course Search Export in the TexAu Desktop app.
- Enter a keyword, or paste a LinkedIn search URL filtered to courses.
- Optional: enter a number in "Course Extraction Limit (Max. 1000)".
- Run the automation.
- Open the CSV file in your export folder when the run ends.
Limits and limitations#
- One search returns up to 1000 courses.
- The automation reads data visible to your account.
- LinkedIn can change its page structure. If that happens, the card can show "Under maintenance" while the team updates the automation. Read Maintenance mode.
FAQ#

Q: Which URL works? A: A LinkedIn search results URL filtered to courses. Run the search on LinkedIn, choose the courses filter, then copy the address bar.
Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV file in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History tab of the app.
Troubleshooting#
The run fails with an invalid URL error. Use a keyword, or a LinkedIn search URL filtered to courses.
The automation asks me to connect the account again. The session expired. Capture it again with the TexAu browser extension. Read Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.
