Why this automation is useful#

The Sales Navigator inbox holds every InMail conversation with your prospects. Manual review does not scale when you run several campaigns. This automation exports the inbox to one CSV in a single run.

The export shows the last message, the message date, and the unread count per thread. You see which conversations need an answer without opening each thread.

Attachment fields include the filename and the download URL. Participant profile URLs let you route each thread into your CRM or outreach tool.

Use cases#

  1. Audit reply rates across campaigns. Export the inbox every week. Count the threads where the prospect answered. Compare the reply rate across message templates.
  2. Build a hot-lead list from active threads. Filter the CSV on threads with recent prospect replies. Load those profiles into your CRM. Call them within 24 hours.
  3. Recover conversations that went cold. Sort the CSV by message date. Find threads with no activity for 30 days. Send a follow-up InMail to restart the conversation.
  4. Hand off conversations to a closer. An agency exports the client inbox. The CSV goes to the account manager. The account manager answers the warm threads first.
  5. Archive threads before a subscription change. A freelancer ends a Sales Navigator subscription. The export keeps a record of every thread and attachment.
  6. Feed a reporting dashboard. A sales team loads the CSV into a spreadsheet each week. The team tracks threads, replies, and meetings booked per rep.

How to use it#

  1. Connect your Sales Navigator account with the TexAu browser extension.
  2. Open Sales Navigator Inbox Scraper in the TexAu Desktop app.
  3. Enter the inputs. No URL is required. The automation reads your inbox.
  4. Set the extract limit. Maximum 100 threads per search.
  5. Run the automation.
  6. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

The automation uses your active session. Do not use the account heavily in the browser during the run.

Limits and limitations#

  • This automation has no built-in execution limit. Your account rate limits still apply.
  • Maximum 100 threads per search.
  • You need an active Sales Navigator subscription. The automation reads the Sales Navigator inbox only.
  • The CSV contains one row per thread with the last message. Use Sales Navigator Message Thread Scraper to export every message in one thread.
  • LinkedIn can change the inbox layout over time. Export your data on a regular schedule.

FAQ#

Q: How many threads can I export per day? A: No daily execution limit is built in. Each run extracts a maximum of 100 threads. Your account rate limits still apply.

Q: Can LinkedIn restrict my account? A: Yes. LinkedIn can restrict your account if you exceed limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.

Q: What subscription do I need? A: You need an active Sales Navigator subscription. A free LinkedIn account does not include the Sales Navigator inbox.

Q: Does the automation dedupe results? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.

Q: Where do results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: Does the export include attachments? A: Yes. The CSV includes the attachment filename, filesize, filetype, and download URL.

Q: Does the export include every message in a thread? A: No. The CSV contains one row per thread with the last message. Use Sales Navigator Message Thread Scraper for the full thread.

Troubleshooting#

The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.

The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.

The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.

The automation stops before it reaches my extract limit. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
