Owner activity fields cover favourites count, following count, listed count, media count, tweets count, and pinned tweet URL. Remaining flags mark default profile, custom timelines, retweets enabled, media tagging, and English speaking status.

This table lists the main outputs. A real run returns more columns, about 45 in total. For example: "Website URL", "Verified Type" and "Followers Count".

Why this automation is useful#

Curated lists map any niche on the platform. Finding them by hand means scrolling search results and opening lists one by one. This automation exports the search results to a CSV file.

Each row holds the list name, description, member count, and subscriber count. Owner profile fields come with each list. You can rank lists by size and judge owner authority in one pass.

Use cases#

  1. Map the curators of your niche. Search your market keyword. Export the matching lists. Owners with high subscriber counts are the voices that organize your audience.
  2. Feed a prospecting pipeline. Sales teams can search for lists of target accounts by keyword. Export the list URLs. Then export the members of the best lists for outreach.
  3. Find partner and integration targets. Founders can search for lists that curate tools in adjacent categories. Export the list owners. Pitch partnerships to owners with large subscriber counts.
  4. Build journalist source lists for PR. Search keywords in your industry. Export lists with high member counts. Subscribe to the best lists and pitch the owners.
  5. Deliver audience research to clients. Agencies can export the list landscape for the market of a client. Segment the results by subscribers and members. Present the findings in the research report.

How to use it#

  1. Connect your X (Twitter) account with the TexAu browser extension.
  2. Open Twitter List Search Export in the TexAu Desktop app.
  3. Enter a keyword or a list search URL. Sample format: https://x.com/search?q=Classical%20Music&src=typed_query&f=list.
  4. Set the extract limit. The maximum is 100 lists per launch.
  5. Run the automation.
  6. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

The automation uses your active session. Do not use the account heavily in the browser during the run.

Limits and limitations#

  • TexAu sets a default limit of 20 executions per day and 6 executions per hour for this automation.
  • The extract limit caps one launch at 100 lists.
  • An active X (Twitter) session is required.
  • Private lists appear in results only when your connected account has access.
  • Search results reflect the platform index at run time. Results can differ between runs.
  • X (Twitter) can change what list data is available at any time.

FAQ#

Q: How many list searches can I run per day? A: TexAu sets a default limit of 20 executions per day and 6 executions per hour. Each launch extracts up to 100 lists.

Q: Can X (Twitter) restrict my account for exporting list search results? A: Yes, if you exceed limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits to reduce risk.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.

Q: What account do I need? A: A free X (Twitter) account is enough.

Q: Does the automation dedupe results? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.

Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: Can I use a plain keyword instead of a URL? A: Yes. The input accepts a keyword or a list search URL. Both formats work.

Q: What does the List Access field show? A: The List Access field marks each list as public or private.

Troubleshooting#

The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.

The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.

The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.

The automation stops before it reaches my extract limit. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
