Why this automation is useful#
The tweets of a profile show what it broadcasts. The replies show how it behaves in conversations. This automation captures both in one run. You get up to 70 items per launch.
Reply data has direct research value. The To Handle and To Post ID columns show who the profile talks to. The Post Content column shows what it says. Complaints, praise, and questions all appear in the same file.
This makes the export a monitoring tool for competitors and for your own accounts. You can measure how an account treats its audience over time.
Use cases#
- Spot frustrated users in competitor threads. An agency exports the tweets and replies of a competitor account. The team finds threads where the competitor answers frustrated users. The To Handle column identifies those users. Those users become outreach targets with a switching offer.
- Audit a client's community management. An agency exports the tweets and replies of a client account. The team counts replies versus standalone tweets. The ratio shows how much the account engages versus broadcasts.
- Map a prospect's conversation circle. A sales rep exports the tweets and replies of a target founder. The To Handle column lists the people the founder talks with most. Those accounts become secondary prospects.
- Study an influencer's engagement style. A freelance ghostwriter exports the replies of five niche influencers. The writer studies tone, length, and response patterns in Post Content. The findings shape the reply strategy delivered to clients.
- Monitor your own brand account. A business owner exports the tweets and replies of the company account every week. The owner reviews response patterns through the To Handle and Post Date columns. Engagement gaps go to the support lead.
- Prepare a competitor teardown for a sales deck. A sales team exports the tweets and replies of a competitor. The team quotes real reply behavior from the CSV rows. The deck uses documented examples instead of claims.
How to use it#
- Connect your X (Twitter) account with the TexAu browser extension.
- Open Twitter Profile Tweets and Replies Export in the TexAu Desktop app.
- Enter the Twitter Profile URL. Use the full profile URL, for example https://x.com/username/.
- Set the extract limit. The maximum is 70 tweets per launch.
- Run the automation.
- Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.
The automation uses your active session. Do not use the account heavily in the browser during the run.
Limits and limitations#
- TexAu sets a default limit of 100 executions per day and 10 executions per hour for this automation.
- Maximum 70 tweets per launch.
- Content from protected accounts is only available when your connected account follows them.
- The automation uses your active X (Twitter) session. Heavy browser use during the run can interrupt extraction.
- X (Twitter) can change its layout or rate limits at any time. Results can vary between runs.
FAQ#
Q: How many profiles can I export per day? A: TexAu sets a default limit of 100 executions per day and 10 executions per hour. Each run extracts up to 70 items from one profile.
Q: Can X (Twitter) restrict my account? A: Yes, if you exceed the platform rate limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits to reduce risk.
Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.
Q: What account do I need? A: A free X (Twitter) account is enough. No paid subscription is required.
Q: Does the automation dedupe results? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.
Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.
Q: What is the difference between this and Twitter Profile Tweets Export? A: This automation includes the replies of the profile in the export. Twitter Profile Tweets Export focuses on the tweets of the profile. Both cap at 70 tweets per launch.
Q: Can I export replies from a protected account? A: Only when your connected account follows that protected account. The export respects the privacy settings of the profile.
Troubleshooting#
The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.
The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.
The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.
The automation stops before it reaches my extract limit. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.
The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
