Why this automation is useful#
Replies put your profile in front of the audience of another account. A useful reply under a high-reach post exposes your name to every reader. Manual replying across dozens of URLs is slow. This automation publishes each reply and logs the reply URL.
The export contains the comment URL and the comment date. You keep a record for client reports and follow-ups.
Use cases#
- Answer competitor complaints. Collect URLs of posts where users complain about a competitor. Reply with a helpful note about your alternative. Track every reply in the CSV.
- Thank every brand mention. Reply to posts that mention your product with a short thank-you. Fast public replies keep customers engaged.
- Freelance lead replies. Reply to "looking for a freelancer" posts in your niche. Add one line about your service and a portfolio link. Book calls from the replies.
- Launch day support for agencies. Reply to questions under a client launch post with prepared answers. Keep the public response time under one hour.
- Add expertise under viral posts. Reply to high-reach posts in your niche with one useful tip. Readers who like the reply visit your profile.
- Community management. Reply to common questions under your own posts. Keep the comment section active without manual work.
How to use it#
- Connect your X (Twitter) account with the TexAu browser extension.
- Open Twitter Auto Reply in the TexAu Desktop app.
- Enter the Twitter Post URL. Use the full status URL, for example https://x.com/username/status/123456789.
- Enter the Post Comment. Free accounts are limited to 280 characters per reply.
- Run the automation.
- Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.
The automation uses your active session. Do not use the account heavily in the browser during the run. The Comment Status URL column gives you the link to each published reply.
Limits and limitations#
- The action happens under your name and is visible to others. Review the inputs before you run the automation.
- TexAu sets a default limit of 1200 executions per day and 50 executions per hour for this automation.
- A connected X (Twitter) session is required.
- You can reply only to posts your account can view. Protected accounts limit replies to approved followers.
- Repeating the same reply text across many posts can trigger platform spam filters. Vary the comment text.
FAQ#
Q: How many replies can I publish per day? A: TexAu sets a default limit of 1200 executions per day and 50 executions per hour.
Q: Can X (Twitter) restrict my account for auto replies? A: Yes, if you exceed limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits.
Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.
Q: What account do I need? A: A free X (Twitter) account is enough. No paid subscription is required.
Q: Does the automation dedupe results? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.
Q: Where do results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.
Q: Can I reply to a protected account? A: Only when the author approved your follow. Protected posts are visible to approved followers only.
Q: Can I edit a reply after publishing? A: A paid X (Twitter) subscription is required for editing. The Editable Tweet and Edits Left columns show the edit status.
Troubleshooting#
The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.
The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.
The action did not appear on the platform. Check the run status in the History section. If the run failed, reconnect the account and run again.
The automation skipped my input. TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. A second run of the same input does not repeat the action.
The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
