Maintenance mode: why an automation shows "Under maintenance"
Sometimes an automation card in the "Automations" tab shows "Under maintenance" instead of "Try it". This page explains what it means and what you can do.
What "Under maintenance" means#
LinkedIn and X (Twitter) change the layout of their pages from time to time. When a change affects an automation, the TexAu team updates that automation. While the team works on it, the card shows "Under maintenance" and you cannot start that automation.
- The app did not crash. Every other automation still works.
- Your connected accounts are fine. You do not need to capture your session again.
- Your license, your runtime and your past results are not affected.
To read the message for that automation, hold the pointer over the "Under maintenance" button.
What to do in the meantime#
- Keep your input list or CSV file. You can use it again later.
- Use another automation that gives you the data you need, if there is one. Read Automation guides.
- Check the card again later. When the update is ready, the card shows "Try it" again.
TexAu cannot give a date for the end of maintenance. The card changes as soon as the automation works again.
FAQs#
Do I need to reinstall the app or reconnect my account? No. Maintenance is about the automation, not your computer or your account.
Does a paused or failed run use my runtime? Only the time that a run actually runs counts. Read Your AppSumo plan.
Can I report a broken automation that is not marked "Under maintenance"? Yes. Email support@texau.com with the automation name, the exact error message and the input that failed. Read Support, community and updates.
