Why this automation is useful#

Business names on Google Maps often carry extra words. Owners add keywords, service areas, and taglines to rank in local search results.

The agent returns a standardized name. Outreach that quotes the raw Maps name reads like a scrape. Outreach that quotes the clean name reads like research.

Run this agent on the CSV from a Google Maps scraper run, before you load the list into an outreach tool. Your outreach tool then receives names ready for email copy and CRM records.

Use cases#

  1. Fix Google Maps names before cold outreach. A Maps scrape returns business names packed with search keywords. Run the business name column through this agent before you load the list. Your merge fields then print the real business name.
  2. Dedupe local business records in the CRM. The same business scraped twice can appear with two name variants. Clean both lists before import. Matching names let the CRM dedupe rules merge the records.
  3. Deliver clean local lead lists as an agency. Run the agent on the CSV from the Maps scraper. The client CSV arrives with business names that import cleanly into any CRM.
  4. Prepare names for a local SEO audit as a freelancer. An audit report must reference each business by a clean name. Run the scraped names through the agent first. The report data then matches the name the owner recognizes.
  5. Standardize names across several Maps scrapes. Scrapes from different neighborhoods return mixed name formats. Clean every export with the same agent. All outreach then uses one consistent name format.

How to use it#

  1. Open Google Business Name Cleaner in the TexAu Desktop app.
  2. Enter one business name in the Google Business Name field.
  3. Run the automation.
  4. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

This agent needs no account connection. Run it on the CSV from a Google Maps scraper run, before outreach. Map the scraped business name column to the Google Business Name input.

Limits and limitations#

  • TexAu sets a default limit of 10000 executions per day for this automation.
  • The agent cleans one value per execution. Run it with a CSV to process a full column. The app runs the agent once per row.
  • The agent standardizes the name text. It does not check the live Google listing.

FAQ#

Q: How many business names can I clean per day? A: TexAu sets a default limit of 10000 executions per day for this automation. Each execution cleans one business name.

Q: Can Google restrict my account when I use this agent? A: No. This agent does not connect to any Google account. It processes the text you enter.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: No. The agent runs on your computer and uses no platform session. A proxy is not required.

Q: What account or subscription do I need? A: None. The agent works on text input only. You do not connect any platform account.

Q: Does the automation dedupe repeated runs? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same business name.

Q: Where do results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: Does the agent look up the live Google listing? A: No. It cleans the text you enter. It does not fetch data from Google Maps or Google Search.

Q: What does the cleaner remove? A: The agent returns the core business name. It removes the extra descriptors that Maps listings add.

Troubleshooting#

The output field is empty. The agent did not parse the input. Shorten the input to one value and run again.

The output looks wrong for my input. Check the input format. The agent expects one value per run, for example one company name or one headline.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
