Why this automation is useful#

InMail reaches prospects outside your network on Sales Navigator. Sending InMail by hand is slow when you contact dozens of leads per day. This automation sends the message and records proof of the send.

The reply detection input protects your sequences. When it is on, the automation skips people who already answered. Nobody receives a duplicate follow-up.

The CSV output works as a campaign log. It records who was contacted and when. The Replied column shows who answered. You can measure the reply rate per segment from this file.

Use cases#

  1. Run client InMail campaigns per segment. Agencies can load profile URLs from a lead list export. Send one message template per segment. Report the reply rate to the client from the Replied column.
  2. Follow up with silent connection accepts. Sales teams can message people who accepted an invite but never answered. Turn on reply detection for these runs. No lead gets a second nudge by mistake.
  3. Message decision makers after a trigger event. Business owners can target leads at companies with fresh funding news. A short message with one question books meetings. Keep the daily volume inside the default limit.
  4. Send a short pitch to a niche list. Freelancers can message 30 marketing directors per day. Three sentences and one clear ask work better than a long pitch. Track the replies in the CSV.
  5. Combine scraping with outreach. Extract saved leads with Sales Navigator Lead Scraper. Then send an InMail to each profile URL from the CSV. New leads get contacted the same day.

How to use it#

  1. Connect your LinkedIn account with the TexAu browser extension.
  2. Open Sales Navigator Auto Message in the TexAu Desktop app.
  3. Enter the LinkedIn profile URL of the person to message.
  4. Write your message in the Message field.
  5. If you want to skip people who already replied, turn on Reply Detection.
  6. Run the automation.
  7. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

The automation uses your active session. Do not browse LinkedIn heavily during the run.

Limits and limitations#

  • The action happens under your name and is visible to others. Review the inputs before you run the automation.
  • TexAu sets a default limit of 80 executions per day for this automation.
  • You need an active Sales Navigator subscription. A free LinkedIn account is not enough.
  • InMail to profiles that are not open can consume your Sales Navigator InMail credits.
  • LinkedIn limits messaging volume. Exceeding the default limit raises the restriction risk.
  • The automation uses your active session. Heavy browser use on the same account can disturb a run.

FAQ#

Q: How many messages can I send per day? A: TexAu sets a default limit of 80 executions per day for this automation. One execution sends one message.

Q: Can LinkedIn restrict my account for using this automation? A: Yes, if you exceed normal usage limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.

Q: What subscription do I need? A: You need an active Sales Navigator subscription. InMail is a Sales Navigator feature.

Q: Can I message someone I am not connected with? A: Yes. InMail reaches profiles outside your network. Messages to profiles that are not open can consume InMail credits.

Q: Does the automation remove duplicates? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Turn on Reply Detection to avoid a second message to someone who already replied.

Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: What do the attachment columns mean? A: They record the attachment status, name, and URL when the conversation includes an attachment. The Message input accepts text.

Troubleshooting#

The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.

The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.

The action did not appear on the platform. Check the run status in the History section. If the run failed, reconnect the account and run again.

The automation skipped my input. TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. A second run of the same input does not repeat the action.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
