Why this automation is useful#
Mutual connections are the warm path to any prospect. The export lists every shared contact in one CSV.
Manual review means opening a profile and scrolling the shared connections list. The automation extracts up to 1000 mutual connections per launch.
The headline field shows which mutual contact carries the most weight. You pick the strongest introducer before you ask.
Use cases#
- Pick the best introducer before outreach. Export the mutual connections you share with a target prospect. Filter the CSV by headline to find senior contacts. Ask the strongest one for a warm introduction.
- Map a champion's network inside an account. A sales team exports mutuals with a champion at a target company. The list reveals other contacts the champion knows. Multi-thread the account through those names.
- Qualify partnership candidates. An agency exports mutuals with a potential partner. A high mutuals count signals real network overlap. Prioritize partners with deep overlap for co-marketing plays.
- Prepare a credibility check as a freelancer. A freelancer exports mutuals with a new client contact. Shared connections become references to mention on the call. Named mutuals raise trust in the first conversation.
- Prepare event networking. A business owner exports mutuals with event speakers before a conference. Shared contacts become conversation openers. Book meetings in advance through the warm path.
How to use it#
- Connect your LinkedIn account with the TexAu browser extension.
- Open LinkedIn Mutual Connections Export in the TexAu Desktop app.
- Enter the LinkedIn profile URL of the person to inspect.
- Set the extract limit. The maximum is 1000 mutual connections per launch.
- Run the automation.
- Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.
The automation uses your active LinkedIn session. Do not use the account heavily in the browser during the run.
Limits and limitations#
- TexAu sets a default limit of 12000 executions per day and 500 executions per hour for this automation.
- Maximum 1000 mutual connections per launch.
- The export covers the mutual connections LinkedIn shows to your account. Profiles with hidden connections return fewer results.
- LinkedIn can change the profile page structure. Some fields can come back empty after a platform change.
FAQ#
Q: How many profiles can I inspect per day? A: TexAu sets a default limit of 12000 executions per day and 500 executions per hour. Each execution extracts up to 1000 mutual connections.
Q: Can LinkedIn restrict my account for exporting mutual connections? A: Yes, if you exceed the limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits to reduce risk.
Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.
Q: What LinkedIn account do I need? A: A free LinkedIn account is enough. A premium or Sales Navigator subscription is not required.
Q: Does the automation dedupe results? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.
Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.
Q: Why does the export show fewer mutuals than the count on the profile page? A: LinkedIn hides some connections based on privacy settings. The export includes only the mutual connections visible to your account.
Q: Why do some profiles return no mutual connections? A: LinkedIn hides mutual connections when the owner restricts them, or when there are none.
Troubleshooting#
The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.
The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.
The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.
The automation stops before it reaches my extract limit. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.
The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
