The export also includes author company details (company IDs, Sales Navigator company URL, logo, showcase and active status). Post identifiers (thread ID, activity URN, share URN) and engagement flags (comments disabled, liked) are also included. Media fields cover image alt text, video cover URL, video duration, and external video fields (title, description, hosting, URL, cover, URN). Article fields cover the URL, title, and thumbnail. Document fields cover the URL, title, and pages count. Job ad fields cover the URL, title, and location. Event fields cover the URL, banner URL, title, and time. Poll fields cover the question, closing date, closed status, total votes, and four options with URNs and vote counts. Reshared posts add a full OP field set with the original author, original post content, media, engagement counts, and poll data.

This table lists the main outputs. A real run returns more columns, about 143 in total. For example: "Job Ad Location".

Why this automation is useful#

Reading every post of a prospect or competitor manually takes time. This automation extracts up to 1000 recent posts from one profile into a CSV file.

The CSV contains the post text, publication date, hashtags, and media URLs for each post. It also contains likes, comments, and shares counts. You can sort the file to find the posts with the highest engagement.

Reshares appear with the original author in the OP fields. You can see whose content a person amplifies. Impressions appear only for posts on your own profile.

Use cases#

  1. Personalize outreach with a prospect's own content. Export the recent posts of a prospect before you write. Reference one specific post in your opening line. A specific reference earns more replies than a generic message.
  2. Reverse-engineer a competitor's content strategy. Export the posts of a competitor founder or executive. Sort by likes and comments to find the topics that earn engagement. Plan your client's content calendar around those topics.
  3. Vet influencers before a paid partnership. Export an influencer's recent posts and check the engagement counts. A profile with steady comments is a safer bet than a profile with empty likes.
  4. Audit your own profile performance. Export your own posts. The Impressions Count column fills in for your own posts. Track which formats earn the most impressions over time.
  5. Find content ideas as a freelancer. Export posts from three voices in your niche. List the questions and complaints that repeat across their posts. Write your offer around those recurring problems.
  6. Map who influences your buyer. Check the OP fields in the export. They show which authors your prospect reshares. Follow and engage with those authors to appear in your prospect's world.

How to use it#

  1. Connect your LinkedIn account with the TexAu browser extension.
  2. Open LinkedIn Profile Posts Export in the TexAu Desktop app.
  3. Paste the LinkedIn profile URL. Use the format https://www.linkedin.com/in/-vt-/
  4. Set the extract limit. The maximum is 1000 recent posts.
  5. Run the automation.
  6. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

The automation uses your active LinkedIn session. Do not use the account heavily in the browser during the run.

Limits and limitations#

  • This automation has no built-in execution limit. Your account rate limits still apply.
  • Maximum 1000 recent posts per profile per run.
  • Impressions data appears only for posts on your own profile.
  • Profiles with restricted visibility show only the posts LinkedIn shows to your account.
  • The automation requires an active LinkedIn session connected through the TexAu browser extension.

FAQ#

Q: How many exports can I run per day? A: This automation has no built-in execution limit. Your account rate limits still apply. Each launch extracts up to 1000 posts.

Q: Can LinkedIn restrict my account? A: Yes, if you exceed the platform rate limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.

Q: What LinkedIn account do I need? A: A free LinkedIn account is enough. Sales Navigator is not required for this automation.

Q: Does the automation remove duplicates? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.

Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: Can I extract posts from a private profile? A: The export contains only the posts visible to your account. A private profile shows limited content or no content.

Q: Why is the Impressions Count column empty? A: LinkedIn shows impressions only for your own posts. The column stays empty for other profiles.

Troubleshooting#

The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.

The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.

The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.

The automation stops before it reaches my extract limit. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
