Your AppSumo plan: machines, concurrent runs and monthly runtime
Your AppSumo tier sets three limits: the number of machines, the number of automations that can run at the same time, and the runtime per month. Every tier includes every automation and unlimited connected accounts.
What each tier gives you#
| Tier | Machines (license keys) | Concurrent runs | Runtime per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| License Tier 1 | 1 | 1 | 50 hours |
| License Tier 2 | 1 | 3 | 300 hours |
| License Tier 3 (Recommended) | 3 | 6 | 750 hours |
| License Tier 4 | 5 | 12 | Unlimited |
| License Tier 5 | 10 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
The limits apply to each license key. Each key gets the full concurrent runs and monthly runtime of your tier. For example, Tier 3 gives you 3 keys, and each key can run 6 automations at the same time and use 750 hours a month.
One AppSumo purchase gives you one tier. Codes do not stack. To move to a higher tier, upgrade on AppSumo.
Machines and license keys#
- Each machine needs its own license key.
- One key works on one computer at a time.
- Your tier gives you 1, 1, 3, 5 or 10 keys.
- To share the plan with your team, give one key to each team member. Each person activates the app on their own computer.
- There are no sub-accounts or workspaces.
To move a key to another computer, read this guide:
How runtime is counted#
- Runtime is the time that automations spend running on your computer. The app counts each run, or each CSV row, from start to end.
- Time spent on a failed run or a failed row counts.
- Time while a run is paused at a rate limit does not count.
- The app counts whole minutes. Leftover seconds carry over to the next run.
- There is no limit on the length of a single run.
When runtime resets#
- Runtime resets at midnight on the 1st of each calendar month, in your computer's time zone.
- It does not reset on the date you activated.
- Unused hours do not carry over to the next month.
If the app still shows last month's usage on the 1st, restart the app while you are online.
When you reach the monthly limit#
The app shows a message with your limit, for example "Monthly limit of 50h reached. Upgrade your plan to continue." The app then does not start new runs or new CSV rows. Background runs stop the same way. A row that is already running finishes.
To get more runtime, upgrade your tier on AppSumo.
See your plan and your usage#
- To see your plan: click "Settings" in the left sidebar, open the "Account" tab and find the "License" section. It shows the email, the start of your license key, the expiry date and the last verification. Some licenses also show the plan name there. If your plan name is not shown, email support@texau.com from your license email and we will confirm your tier.
- To see your usage: look at the usage meter at the bottom of the left sidebar. It shows the time you used this month and your monthly limit, for example "12h / 50h this month". With unlimited runtime, it shows "Unlimited".
Upgrade or downgrade your tier#
Change your tier on AppSumo. TexAu updates your keys in a few moments.
When you upgrade:
- Your existing keys keep working and get the new limits.
- Your activated computers stay activated.
- If the new tier has more machines, TexAu emails you the extra keys. The email subject is "Your TexAu Desktop plan was upgraded".
When you downgrade:
- Your keys get the lower limits.
- If the lower tier has fewer machines, TexAu deactivates the extra keys. Keys that are in use are kept first.
- TexAu emails you a list of your active keys and your deactivated keys. The email subject is "Your TexAu Desktop plan was downgraded". It shows the first five characters of each key.
FAQs#
Why does my lifetime license show an expiry date? AppSumo licenses get an expiry date about 100 years after you redeem. The "License" section in "Settings" shows this date.
Can I stack AppSumo codes? No. One purchase gives you one tier. To get more machines, runs or runtime, upgrade your tier on AppSumo.
Does the deal use credits? No. TexAu Desktop meters runtime hours per month, not credits.
Can I connect more than one LinkedIn or X account? Yes. The number of connected accounts has no limit. Each account runs one automation at a time.
Is runtime the same as rate limits? No. Rate limits protect your platform accounts, and you can change them. The monthly runtime is part of your tier. Read Manage rate limits.
