The export also includes company identifiers (company public ID, company ID, Sales Navigator company URL, logo, showcase and active status). Post identifiers (thread ID, activity URN, share URN) and engagement flags (comments disabled, liked) are also included. Media fields cover image alt text, video cover URL, video duration, and external video fields (title, description, hosting, URL, cover, URN). The document pages count, the job ad URL and location, and the event URL, banner, and time are also included. Poll fields add the closing date, the closed status, and four options with URNs and vote counts. Reshared posts add a full OP field set with the original author, original post content, media, engagement counts, and poll data.

This table lists the main outputs. A real run returns more columns, about 133 in total. For example: "Company Followers Count" and "Job Ad Location".

Why this automation is useful#

Checking a competitor's company page every day is manual work. This automation extracts up to 1000 recent activities from one company page into a CSV file.

The mode input filters by content type. A run in Documents mode returns only document posts. You collect exactly the format you study.

The CSV contains the post text, date, engagement counts, and media URLs. The Sponsored flag marks paid posts. The under-24-hours flag marks fresh posts for fast reaction.

Use cases#

  1. Monitor competitor announcements. Run a weekly export on each competitor's company page. Read the post content column for product launches and pricing changes. Brief your team with the post URLs.
  2. React to sales trigger events within 24 hours. Run the export daily on your top target accounts. Filter for Is Post Under 24 hours = YES. Comment on the post or message the account while the news is fresh.
  3. Build a client content calendar from proven formats. Export competitor posts and sort by likes and comments. Note which formats earn engagement, for example documents or polls. Plan your client's calendar around those formats.
  4. Collect competitor lead magnets. Run the export in Documents mode. The CSV lists document titles and URLs. Download the documents and study the gated content strategy behind them.
  5. Track a competitor's hiring pushes. Filter the export for rows with a job ad title. Repeated job ads in one department signal budget and growth. Adjust your pitch to that moment.
  6. Report on competitor pages for clients. Agencies can export the activity of client competitor pages each month. Add the engagement columns to the client report. Show which topics the market rewards.

How to use it#

  1. Connect your LinkedIn account with the TexAu browser extension.
  2. Open LinkedIn Company Activity Extractor in the TexAu Desktop app.
  3. Paste the LinkedIn company URL. Use the format https://www.linkedin.com/company/texauhq/
  4. Select the mode. Options are All, Images, Videos, Articles, and Documents.
  5. Set the extract limit. The maximum is 1000 recent activities.
  6. Run the automation.
  7. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

The automation uses your active LinkedIn session. Do not use the account heavily in the browser during the run.

FAQ#

Q: How many exports can I run per day? A: TexAu sets a default limit of 40 executions per day for this automation. Each launch extracts up to 1000 activity items.

Q: Can LinkedIn restrict my account? A: Yes, if you exceed the platform rate limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.

Q: What LinkedIn account do I need? A: A free LinkedIn account is enough. Sales Navigator is not required for this automation.

Q: Does the automation remove duplicates? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.

Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: What does the mode input do? A: It filters the export by content type. Choose All, Images, Videos, Articles, or Documents.

Q: How do I find only new posts? A: Check the Is Post Under 24 hours column. YES marks posts published in the last 24 hours.

Troubleshooting#

The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.

The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.

The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.

The automation stops before it reaches my extract limit. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
