Why this automation is useful#
Old posts stay on the activity feed forever. Outdated offers, old positioning, and off-brand content keep working against you. Deleting posts one by one in the browser is slow when the backlog is large.
This automation removes one post per run from the connected account. The CSV export records each deleted URL with a success status. The record serves as an audit trail for client work or personal cleanup.
Deletion is permanent. LinkedIn does not restore deleted posts. Check the post URL carefully before each run.
Use cases#
- Remove outdated positioning before a rebrand. Delete posts that promote old offers or old messaging. Keep the activity feed consistent with the new brand. Run the cleanup before the announcement goes live.
- Clean a profile before a job search or funding round. Investors and recruiters read the activity feed. Remove posts that no longer represent the business. Present a feed that supports the current goal.
- Delete underperforming promotional posts. Clear repeated promotion posts that earned no engagement. Keep the feed focused on content that works. A cleaner feed raises the value of each remaining post.
- Run profile cleanup for agency clients. Delete old posts in scheduled runs as part of an account hygiene service. Export the CSV as a record of each deletion. Show the client exactly what was removed.
- Remove a post published with an error. If a post went out with wrong information, delete it fast. Publish a corrected version after the deletion. Speed matters when the wrong claim is already visible.

FAQ#
Q: How many posts can I delete per day? A: This automation has no built-in execution limit. Your account rate limits still apply. Each run deletes one post.
Q: Can LinkedIn restrict my account? A: Yes, if you exceed the platform limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to reasonable volumes to reduce risk.
Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.
Q: What account do I need? A: A free LinkedIn account is enough. You must be the author of the post you delete.
Q: Does the automation dedupe results? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. A deleted post no longer exists, so a second run of the same URL has nothing to remove.
Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.
Q: Can I restore a deleted post? A: No. Deletion is permanent on LinkedIn. Save the post content before the run if you want a copy.
Q: Can I delete comments with this automation? A: No. The automation deletes posts from your activity feed. It does not delete comments.
Troubleshooting#
The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.
The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.
The action did not appear on the platform. Check the run status in the History section. If the run failed, reconnect the account and run again.
The automation skipped my input. TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. A second run of the same input does not repeat the action.
The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
