Refunds and what happens to your license
AppSumo handles refunds for TexAu Desktop. AppSumo gives refunds within its 60-day window. To ask for a refund, contact AppSumo.
What happens after a refund#
- AppSumo tells TexAu about the refund.
- TexAu deactivates every license key from that purchase.
- Each computer that used one of those keys is released.
- The next time you start the app or start a run, the app shows "This license has been permanently revoked and cannot be reused."
A refunded license cannot be activated again. To use TexAu Desktop again, you need a new purchase.
If you get a refund before you redeem#
The redeem page does not give keys for a refunded purchase. It shows that the purchase is deactivated.
Your files after a refund#
- TexAu does not delete files on your computer.
- Your exported CSV files stay in your export folder.
- Your connected accounts, results and run history are stored on your computer, not on TexAu's servers.
Save the CSV files that you need before you remove the app.
Do not use "Revoke license" to end your purchase#
"Revoke license" in "Settings" disables a key permanently. No one can undo it, and the same purchase does not give you a new key. To move a key to another computer, use "Remove this device". Read Remove a device or revoke your license.
FAQs#
I downgraded my tier on AppSumo. What happens to my keys? Your keys get the lower limits. If the lower tier has fewer machines, TexAu deactivates the extra keys and emails you the list. Read Your AppSumo plan.
Can TexAu give me the refund? No. AppSumo takes the payment and makes the refund.
