Why this automation is useful#

Video descriptions hide the best contact data on YouTube. Creators list business emails and social links there.

This automation pulls those emails and links into a CSV. You skip opening videos and copying text by hand.

The views count, upload date, and video length support performance research across many videos. The comments count shows engagement before you open the comment section.

Technical fields like loudness and maximum bitrate support production benchmarking across channels.

Use cases#

  1. Prospect influencers from their video descriptions. Scrape videos from creators in your niche. Keep the rows where the Emails column is filled. Load the emails into your cold email tool. Track reply rate per creator.
  2. Verify sponsored placements for agency clients. Scrape each sponsored video after it goes live. Confirm the title, description, and upload date match the contract. Add the views count to your client report.
  3. Benchmark competitor content performance. Scrape the latest videos from competing channels. Compare views counts and video lengths across the set. Plan your next production around the winning pattern.
  4. Collect reviewers who cover your product. Scrape each review video your team finds. Save the channel URL and the email from the description. Send reviewers your affiliate terms or a free unit.
  5. Audit a creator before a sponsorship deal. Scrape ten recent videos from the creator. Check views consistency, family-safe status, and category. Reject creators whose numbers swing hard between uploads.
  6. Build a podcast guest pipeline. Scrape interview videos in your space. Collect the contact emails listed in the descriptions. Pitch the hosts who already run interview formats.

How to use it#

  1. Open YouTube Video Scraper in the TexAu Desktop app.
  2. Enter the video URL. Sample value: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tY6Y4YjinDg.
  3. Run the automation.
  4. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

The automation reads public YouTube data. No account connection is needed.

Limits and limitations#

  • This automation has no built-in execution limit. Your account rate limits still apply.
  • The automation reads public video data only. Private videos do not return data.
  • The Emails and Social Links columns only fill when the creator lists them in the description.
  • A field can be empty when YouTube does not provide it for a video.

FAQ#

Q: How many videos can I scrape per day? A: This automation has no built-in execution limit. High-volume runs can still hit YouTube rate limits, so keep your daily volume moderate.

Q: Can YouTube block me for scraping videos? A: No account is connected, so your YouTube account is not at risk. High-volume runs from one network connection can hit temporary YouTube rate limits. TexAu adds random delays between requests.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.

Q: Do I need a YouTube account or a paid subscription? A: No. The video data this automation reads is public on YouTube. No account connection is needed.

Q: Does the automation dedupe results? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.

Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: What does the Emails column contain? A: It contains the email addresses found in the video description, comma-separated. The column is empty when the description lists no email address.

Q: What do the Loudness fields mean? A: They show the audio level of the video in decibels. They can be empty when YouTube does not provide them.

Troubleshooting#

The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.

Some fields are empty in the CSV. YouTube does not publish every field for every video or channel. Private, deleted, or region-locked videos return fewer fields.

The run returns no data for a valid URL. The video or channel can be private, deleted, or region-locked. Try a different URL to confirm.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
