The export also includes contact extras (instant messenger, WeChat) and profile flags (allow endorsement, email required to connect, creator info, memorialized). Media fields cover the profile thumbnail and the profile banner. Language fields cover the primary language and spoken languages. Location fields cover country, city, location area, location name, and country code. Industry and skill fields cover skill names, skill URNs, profile industry, industry ID, volunteer causes, and tracking ID. The current company block covers company name, company about, company ID, and company public URL. It also covers the Sales Navigator company URL, logo, headcount range, job title, and position tenure. Past company entries 1 to 4 include past company name, description, ID, public URL, job title, and tenure. Education entries 1 to 5 include school name, degree, school description, school URL, field of study, and study period. Career signal fields cover hiring status, Open to Work, career interest, and the job ad posted on the profile.
This table lists the main outputs. A real run returns more columns, about 120 in total. For example: "Personal Website", "Location Area" and "Profile Industry".
Why this automation is useful#
Manual profile research takes several minutes per profile. The automation extracts the full profile in one run and writes it to a CSV. Sales teams stop copying fields by hand.
The export includes contact details that LinkedIn shows to your account, for example email addresses and phone numbers. These fields stay empty when the profile owner hides them.
Career signal fields add context that a name and title cannot give. The Open to Work flag shows active job seekers. The hiring fields show companies with live demand.
Use cases#
- Enrich a lead list before outreach. A sales team has target profile URLs from a search export. Scrape each profile to get the headline, current role, and company details. Load the CSV into your cold email tool and personalize the first line of every message.
- Find candidates who openly look for work. A recruiter filters exported profiles by the Open to Work flag. Then the recruiter contacts active job seekers first. This cuts wasted messages to passive candidates.
- Qualify inbound connections. A freelancer exports the profile of every new connection. Filter the CSV by industry and company headcount range to spot real buyers. Reply first to profiles that match the ideal client profile.
- Build a partner shortlist in a niche. An agency scrapes the profiles of conference speakers in a target market. Use the About text and past roles to score fit. Contact the top ten with a partnership pitch and track the reply rate.
- Verify decision-maker seniority. A business owner checks the full job history of a prospect before a large proposal. Past company entries show real tenure and career path. Send the proposal to verified decision makers only.
- Spot hiring signals at target accounts. The hiring flag and the job ad fields reveal profiles with open roles. An agency uses this list to pitch recruiting or HR services. Accounts with live demand convert better than cold accounts.
How to use it#
- Connect your LinkedIn account with the TexAu browser extension.
- Open LinkedIn Profile Scraper in the TexAu Desktop app.
- Enter the LinkedIn profile URL. Use the full public URL, for example https://www.linkedin.com/in/johndoe.
- Run the automation.
- Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.
The automation uses your active LinkedIn session. Do not use the account heavily in the browser during the run.
Limits and limitations#
- TexAu sets a default limit of 50 executions per day for this automation.
- The input takes one profile URL per row.
- Contact details appear only when LinkedIn shows them to your account. First-degree connections usually show more data.
- Private or restricted profiles return fewer fields.
- LinkedIn can change the profile page structure. Some fields can come back empty after a platform change.
FAQ#
Q: How many profiles can I scrape per day? A: TexAu sets a default limit of 50 executions per day. Each execution extracts the profile URL you entered.
Q: Can LinkedIn restrict my account for scraping profiles? A: Yes, if you exceed the limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default daily limit to reduce risk.
Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.
Q: What LinkedIn account do I need? A: A free LinkedIn account is enough. A Sales Navigator subscription is not required.
Q: Does the automation dedupe results? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.
Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.
Q: Why are the email or phone fields empty for some profiles? A: LinkedIn shows contact details based on privacy settings and connection degree. The export includes what your account can see.
Q: Why are some fields empty for a profile? A: The profile owner restricted that data. The automation extracts what your account can see.
Troubleshooting#
The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.
The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.
The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.
The automation stops before the run completes. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.
The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
