Why this automation is useful#
LinkedIn company search shows rich results, but LinkedIn offers no export button. Copying company names one by one is slow and error-prone. This automation turns a full search into a structured CSV in one run.
The CSV includes the company name, industry, location, followers count, and job ads count. It also includes the LinkedIn, public, and Sales Navigator URLs for each company. These URLs feed directly into other prospecting steps.
The job ads count is a buying signal. Companies that post many roles invest in growth. Sales teams can rank the exported list by this number and contact the most active companies first.
Use cases#
- Build a target account list for outbound sales. Search an industry keyword such as "Logistics". Export up to 1000 companies. Load the CSV into your CRM and work the list from top to bottom.
- Find hiring companies before you pitch. Sort the CSV by job ads count. A company with many open roles spends money on growth. Pitch recruitment, HR software, or training services to these companies first.
- Map a niche before you enter it. Business owners can export every company in a niche. Count competitors per city in a spreadsheet. Use the count to decide where to invest.
- Build local prospect lists for agency clients. Filter a LinkedIn company search by city in your browser. Paste the search URL into the automation. Use the CSV for a local services pitch campaign.
- Enrich an existing account list. Match the CSV against your CRM by company name. Add the LinkedIn company ID, public URL, and followers count to each record.
- Feed company URLs into people prospecting. Freelancers can take the company URLs from the CSV. Then find decision-makers at those companies and message them directly.
How to use it#
- Connect your LinkedIn account with the TexAu browser extension.
- Open LinkedIn Company Search Export in the TexAu Desktop app.
- Enter a keyword or a LinkedIn company search URL. To use filters, run the search on LinkedIn and copy the URL from the address bar.
- Set the extract limit. The maximum is 1000 companies per search.
- Run the automation.
- Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.
The automation uses your active LinkedIn session. Do not browse LinkedIn heavily during the run.
Limits and limitations#
- This automation has no built-in execution limit. Your account rate limits still apply.
- Maximum 1000 companies per search.
- The automation reads data visible to your account. Private company data is not available.
- LinkedIn can change its page structure. A run can fail after such a platform change.
FAQ#
Q: How many companies can I export per day? A: This automation has no built-in execution limit. Each run extracts a maximum of 1000 companies per search. Your LinkedIn account rate limits still apply.
Q: Can LinkedIn restrict my account for using this automation? A: Yes, if you exceed normal usage limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to moderate run sizes to protect your account.
Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.
Q: Do I need a paid LinkedIn subscription? A: A free LinkedIn account is enough. The export also includes the Sales Navigator company URL when it is available.
Q: Does the automation remove duplicates? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.
Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.
Q: Can I filter by location or industry? A: Yes. Apply the filters in a LinkedIn company search in your browser. Then paste the filtered search URL into the input.
Q: Why is a field empty for some companies? A: LinkedIn only exposes data shown on the company page. If a company has not filled a field, the cell stays empty.
Troubleshooting#
The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.
The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.
The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.
The automation stops before it reaches my extract limit. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.
The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
