Why this automation is useful#

LinkedIn does not offer a full connection export with dates. This automation downloads your complete 1st-degree network to a CSV, from the newest connection to the oldest.

The CSV includes names, headlines, job titles, companies, and profile URLs. It also includes the connection date. The date lets you measure how your network grows over time.

Your 1st-degree network is your warmest audience. These people already accepted you. A message to a 1st-degree connection gets far more replies than a cold message. This export tells you exactly who you can reach.

Use cases#

  1. Back up your network. Export all connections to a CSV as a personal CRM backup. Repeat the export every month to track changes.
  2. Find warm leads hiding in your network. Filter the CSV by job title and company name. Message the matching connections directly. They already accepted you once.
  3. Welcome new connections fast. Set the filter date to your last export date. The run returns only new connections. Send each one a short welcome message within a day.
  4. Plan an introduction campaign. Sales teams can match the CSV against a target account list. When a connection works at a target account, ask for an introduction to the buyer.
  5. Audit a client's network before a campaign. Agencies can export a client's connections before writing outreach copy. Segment the audience by title and industry first.
  6. Reactivate old relationships. Sort the CSV by connection date. Pick valuable contacts from a year ago or more. Send them a short update message to reopen the conversation.

How to use it#

  1. Connect your LinkedIn account with the TexAu browser extension.
  2. Open LinkedIn Connections Export in the TexAu Desktop app.
  3. Set the extract limit. The maximum is 10000 connections.
  4. Set the filter date when you want only connections added after a specific date.
  5. Run the automation.
  6. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

The automation uses your active LinkedIn session. Do not browse LinkedIn heavily during the run.

Limits and limitations#

  • This automation has no built-in execution limit. Your account rate limits still apply.
  • Maximum 10000 connections per run.
  • The automation exports only your own 1st-degree connections. It cannot export another person's network.
  • The export contains profile data only. Email addresses are not included.
  • Memorialized profiles can appear in the export. They are marked YES in the Memorialized column.

FAQ#

Q: How many connections can I export per day? A: This automation has no built-in execution limit. Each run extracts a maximum of 10000 connections. Your LinkedIn account rate limits still apply.

Q: Can LinkedIn restrict my account for using this automation? A: Yes, if you exceed normal usage limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits to protect your account.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.

Q: Do I need a paid LinkedIn subscription? A: A free LinkedIn account is enough. The export also includes the Sales Navigator profile URL when it is available.

Q: Does the automation remove duplicates? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Use the filter date for incremental exports instead of full re-runs.

Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: Does the export include email addresses? A: No. The CSV contains profile data such as names, headlines, job titles, companies, and profile URLs.

Q: Can I export only connections added after a date? A: Yes. Set the filter date input and the run returns only connections accepted after that date.

Troubleshooting#

The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.

The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.

The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.

The automation stops before it reaches my extract limit. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
