LinkedIn default limits

Updated 10 October 2026 · 2 min read

LinkedIn can restrict an account that does more than normal activity. TexAu sets a default limit for each automation and each connected account. Keep the defaults, and set new accounts lower.

Default daily limits#

These are the TexAu defaults per connected account. Each automation guide has the full limits.

How the limits work#

  • Limits apply per automation and per connected account.
  • The windows roll: the last 60 minutes, the last 24 hours and the last 7 days.
  • If an automation has only a daily limit, TexAu sets the hourly limit to one third of it. The weekly limit is seven times the daily limit.
  • Each attempted input counts, also a failed one.
  • A limit of 0 blocks the automation.
  • When a run reaches a limit, it pauses. You can resume it after the reset time, or send it to the background.

To change a limit, read Manage rate limits.

Lower the risk to your accounts#

  1. Keep the TexAu default limits.
  2. For a new account or an account with little activity, set the limits lower than the defaults.
  3. Do not raise a limit above the default without a reason. Higher limits increase the risk of a restriction.
  4. For CSV runs, keep pacing on. Pacing spaces out the rows.
  5. Do not use the same account heavily in your browser during a run.

LinkedIn also applies its own weekly invitation limit to each account. This limit applies in addition to the TexAu limits.

Proxies#

  • You do not need a proxy for one account on your own computer.
  • For many accounts, use one proxy for each account.
  • On a cloud computer, add the proxy before you sign in to LinkedIn there.

Read Add and use a proxy.
