Why this automation is useful#

Subscribing to a list is a deliberate act. A subscriber chose to follow a curated topic or group. That self-selection makes list subscribers a high-signal audience.

X (Twitter) shows subscribers one screen at a time. There is no export option. This automation writes up to 1000 subscribers per launch to a CSV.

The export includes bio, email in bio, location, and DM open status for each profile. You can filter and segment the audience before you contact anyone.

Use cases#

  1. Build a lookalike prospect list from one curated list. Find a public list of your ideal customers. Export its subscribers. Load the CSV into your outreach tool and track reply rate per list source.
  2. Promote an event to a proven audience. Business owners can find lists about their event topic. Export the subscribers and filter for DM open profiles. Invite them with a direct message and a clear call to action.
  3. Source leads for a client as an agency. Identify the lists your client's competitors maintain. Export their subscribers. Segment by followers count and location. Deliver the list as a targeting asset.
  4. Find collaboration partners as a freelancer. Export subscribers of lists about your service niche. Filter by bio keywords and professional type. Pitch the accounts that match your ideal client profile.
  5. Recruit beta testers. Export subscribers of lists about your product category. Message a small batch with early access. Convert engaged testers into case studies.
  6. Research a market before launch. Sales teams can export subscribers of several niche lists. Analyze locations, account ages, and follower counts. Use the profile data to size and prioritize the segment.

How to use it#

  1. Connect your X (Twitter) account with the TexAu browser extension.
  2. Open Twitter List Subscribers Export in the TexAu Desktop app.
  3. Enter the list URL. Use the format https://x.com/username/lists/list-name.
  4. Set the extract limit. The maximum is 1000 subscribers per launch.
  5. Run the automation.
  6. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

The automation uses your active session. Do not use the account heavily in the browser during the run.

Limits and limitations#

  • TexAu sets a default limit of 16000 executions per day and 2000 executions per hour for this automation.
  • Maximum 1000 subscribers per launch.
  • An active X (Twitter) session is required.
  • Private lists require access from the connected account.
  • Subscribers with protected accounts can return limited data.

FAQ#

Q: How many subscriber exports can I run per day? A: TexAu sets a default limit of 16000 executions per day and 2000 executions per hour.

Q: How many subscribers can I extract per launch? A: The extract limit is capped at 1000 subscribers per launch.

Q: Can X (Twitter) restrict my account for exporting subscribers? A: Yes, if you exceed limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits to reduce risk.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.

Q: What account do I need? A: A free X (Twitter) account is enough.

Q: Does the automation dedupe results? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.

Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: What is the difference between list subscribers and list members? A: Members are the accounts on the list. Subscribers are the accounts that follow the list. This automation exports the subscribers.

Troubleshooting#

The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.

The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.

The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.

The automation stops before it reaches my extract limit. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
