Why this automation is useful#
LinkedIn product pages list companies that use each product. This is public competitor-customer data. The export collects it without manual browsing.
A keyword search returns the product landscape of a category in one CSV. Product type and description fields show how each vendor positions its offer.
The customer company fields produce ready-made account lists. Each entry links a product to companies that use it.
Use cases#
- Build a competitor-customer hit list. Export the products in a competing category. The customer company fields name accounts that pay for a rival. Pitch these accounts a switch offer with a side-by-side comparison.
- Map a market before a launch. A business owner exports every product in a target category. Sort the CSV by product type to find crowded and open segments. Position the new offer in an open segment.
- Find integration partners. An agency exports products adjacent to its client's tool. The product URLs and company names form a partner shortlist. Contact each vendor with an integration pitch and track meetings booked.
- Qualify accounts by tech stack. A sales team exports the products its solution replaces. Customer companies of those products are pre-qualified accounts. Load the list into the CRM as the next campaign audience.
- Research vendor positioning for a client. A freelancer exports the product descriptions of the top tools in a niche. Compare messaging patterns across the CSV. Use the findings to write sharper positioning for the client.
How to use it#
- Connect your LinkedIn account with the TexAu browser extension.
- Open LinkedIn Product Search Export in the TexAu Desktop app.
- Enter a keyword, for example Cybersecurity, or paste a LinkedIn product search URL.
- Set the extract limit. The maximum is 1000 products per search.
- Run the automation.
- Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.
The automation uses your active LinkedIn session. Do not use the account heavily in the browser during the run.
Limits and limitations#
- This automation has no built-in execution limit. Your account rate limits still apply.
- Maximum 1000 products per search.
- Customer company data comes from LinkedIn product pages. Products without listed customers return empty customer fields.
- A keyword gives broad results. A product search URL keeps the filters you set on LinkedIn.
- LinkedIn can change the product search structure. Some fields can come back empty after a platform change.
FAQ#
Q: How many products can I export per day? A: This automation has no built-in daily limit. Each search extracts up to 1000 products. Your LinkedIn account rate limits still apply.
Q: Can LinkedIn restrict my account for exporting product searches? A: Yes, if you exceed the limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Moderate volumes reduce risk.
Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.
Q: What LinkedIn account do I need? A: A free LinkedIn account is enough. A premium or Sales Navigator subscription is not required.
Q: Does the automation dedupe results? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.
Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.
Q: Keyword or search URL, which input works better? A: A keyword runs a fresh search and gives broad category results. A product search URL preserves the filters you set on LinkedIn. Use a URL when you need a filtered list.
Q: Do I need a search URL or a keyword? A: Both work. Enter a keyword, or paste the full search URL.
Troubleshooting#
The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.
The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.
The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.
The automation stops before it reaches my extract limit. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.
The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
