The export also includes Super Follow and translator flags, the pinned tweet URL, favourites count, media count, listed count, and the automation status.

This table lists the main outputs. A real run returns more columns, about 59 in total. For example: "Website URL", "Followers Count" and "Location".

Why this automation is useful#

Twitter lists give you a curated feed without follows. Adding profiles one by one in the app is slow for a large list. This automation adds each profile from your input. You build a focused feed in minutes.

Lists also support competitor research. A private list of competitor accounts shows their posts in one place. The export logs members count and subscribers count. You can track list growth over time.

Use cases#

  1. Competitor watchlist for a client. Build a private list of a client's top 20 competitors. Add each profile URL from a CSV. Read the list feed each week to track launches, campaigns, and pricing posts.
  2. Build a warm-up list before a sales campaign. Add 100 target accounts to a list before a sales campaign. Review the feed each morning. Reply to new posts the same day so prospects know your name before your message arrives.
  3. Influencer shortlist. Add 100 niche creators to a list. Watch their content for one week. Message the most relevant profiles with a collaboration offer.
  4. Conference networking. Add speakers and attendees of an industry conference to a list. Engage with their posts in the weeks before the event. Book meetings before you arrive.
  5. Customer community. Add active customers to a private list. Like and reply to their posts from the brand account. Track the members count in each export to watch the community grow.

How to use it#

  1. Connect your X (Twitter) account with the TexAu browser extension.
  2. Open Twitter People List Builder in the TexAu Desktop app.
  3. Enter the inputs. The list URL must point to a list you own. The profile URL is the profile to add.
  4. Run the automation.
  5. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

Create the list on X (Twitter) before the run. The automation does not create lists. The automation uses your active session. Do not use the account heavily in the browser during the run.

Limits and limitations#

  • TexAu sets a default limit of 4000 executions per day and 2000 executions per hour for this automation.
  • A connected X (Twitter) session is required.
  • The list must exist before the run. Create it on X (Twitter) first.
  • X (Twitter) does not add the same profile to a list twice.
  • Adding a very large number of profiles can trigger platform rate limits. Keep to the default limits.

FAQ#

Q: How many profiles can I add per day? A: TexAu sets a default limit of 4000 executions per day and 2000 executions per hour. Platform rate limits still apply on top of that.

Q: Can X (Twitter) restrict my account for list building? A: Yes, if you exceed limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.

Q: What account do I need? A: A free X (Twitter) account is enough. No paid subscription is required.

Q: Does the automation dedupe results? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.

Q: Where do results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: Does the list need to exist first? A: Yes. Create the list on X (Twitter), copy its URL, and paste it into the automation.

Q: Can I add profiles to a private list? A: Yes. The Private List column in the export shows the privacy setting of the list.

Troubleshooting#

The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.

The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.

The action did not appear on the platform. Check the run status in the History section. If the run failed, reconnect the account and run again.

The automation skipped my input. TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. A second run of the same input does not repeat the action.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
