Why this automation is useful#
LinkedIn service search lists freelancers and providers by service type. The export turns search result pages into a structured CSV.
The shared connections fields show who in your network knows each provider. This enables warm introductions instead of cold outreach.
Location, headline, and premium badge fields support filtering. Agencies sort providers by market and seniority in a spreadsheet.
Use cases#
- Build a subcontractor bench. An agency exports providers for services it does not offer in-house. Filter the CSV by location and service type. Contact the top profiles before the next big pitch.
- Find a warm path to a prospect. A sales team exports service providers in the prospect's niche. The shared connections count shows who has mutual contacts. Ask the mutual contact for an introduction.
- Map competitor providers in a market. A business owner exports providers who offer the same service. Compare headlines and service pages in the CSV. Adjust pricing and positioning against the real field.
- Source specialists for client projects. A recruiter exports providers with a rare service type. The profile URL and service page give direct contact paths. Shared connections make the first message warm.
- Set up referral swaps in one city. A freelancer exports complementary providers in the same location. Propose referral swaps to the ones with shared connections. Two-way referrals grow both pipelines.
How to use it#
- Connect your LinkedIn account with the TexAu browser extension.
- Open LinkedIn Service Search Export in the TexAu Desktop app.
- Enter a keyword or paste a LinkedIn service search URL. A URL preserves the filters you set on LinkedIn.
- Set the extract limit. The maximum is 1000 providers per search URL.
- Run the automation.
- Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.
The automation uses your active LinkedIn session. Do not use the account heavily in the browser during the run.
Limits and limitations#
- This automation has no built-in execution limit. Your account rate limits still apply.
- Maximum 1000 providers per search URL.
- Results depend on your network and filters. Two accounts can get different results for the same search.
- LinkedIn can change the service search structure. Some fields can come back empty after a platform change.
FAQ#
Q: How many providers can I export per day? A: This automation has no built-in daily limit. Each search extracts up to 1000 providers. Your LinkedIn account rate limits still apply.
Q: Can LinkedIn restrict my account for exporting service searches? A: Yes, if you exceed the limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Moderate volumes reduce risk.
Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.
Q: What LinkedIn account do I need? A: A free LinkedIn account is enough. A premium or Sales Navigator subscription is not required.
Q: Does the automation dedupe results? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.
Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.
Q: What is the difference between a keyword and a search URL? A: A keyword runs a fresh search. A URL keeps the filters you applied on LinkedIn, for example location or connection degree. Use a URL for precise lists.
Q: Do I need a search URL or a keyword? A: Both work. Enter a keyword, or paste the full search URL.
Troubleshooting#
The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.
The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.
The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.
The automation stops before it reaches my extract limit. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.
The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
