The export also includes poll fields. Poll labels 1 to 4 and poll counts 1 to 4 appear when the bookmarked post contains a poll. Author account extras cover default profile status, business type, verification badge, NFT avatar, location, and account activity counts. Relationship fields show follower and following states between you and the author. Post status fields mark possibly sensitive content, retweets enabled, edit eligibility, and edits left. Remaining fields cover custom timelines, listed count, media count, tweets count, media tagging, and favourites count.

This table lists the main outputs. A real run returns more columns, about 50 in total. For example: "Location".

Why this automation is useful#

Bookmarks are a private research queue. The platform offers no native export for them. This automation turns your bookmarks into a CSV file.

Each row holds the post URL, text, media links, and engagement counts. Author profile fields travel with the post. Poll fields capture option labels and counts when the post contains a poll.

The CSV supports research libraries, content audits, and outreach queues. You keep the data even when a post disappears from the platform.

Use cases#

  1. Build a competitor swipe file. Bookmark competitor ads, threads, and offers during the week. Export the bookmarks on Friday. Tag patterns in the CSV and brief your content team.
  2. Turn bookmarks into an outreach queue. Sales teams can bookmark buying-signal posts. Export them in one run. Route the best posts to the CRM for a same-day reply.
  3. Create a research library for content. Bookmark strong posts in your niche. Export them with engagement counts. Sort by retweets and replies to find proven formats.
  4. Collect testimonials and mentions. Founders can bookmark praise posts about their product. Export the CSV before a launch. Quote the posts on the landing page with permission.
  5. Report client mentions. Agencies can bookmark posts that mention a client. Export them for the monthly report. The client sees real posts with real engagement numbers.

How to use it#

  1. Connect your X (Twitter) account with the TexAu browser extension.
  2. Open Twitter Bookmarks Export in the TexAu Desktop app.
  3. Run the automation. This automation has no inputs.
  4. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

The automation uses your active session. Do not use the account heavily in the browser during the run.

Limits and limitations#

  • TexAu sets a default limit of 4000 executions per day and 2000 executions per hour for this automation.
  • An active X (Twitter) session is required.
  • The export covers the bookmarks of the connected account only.
  • Deleted or protected posts can drop out of the export.
  • X (Twitter) can change what bookmark data is available at any time.

FAQ#

Q: How many bookmark exports can I run per day? A: TexAu sets a default limit of 4000 executions per day and 2000 executions per hour.

Q: Can X (Twitter) restrict my account for exporting bookmarks? A: Yes, if you exceed limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits to reduce risk.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.

Q: What account do I need? A: A free X (Twitter) account is enough.

Q: Does the automation dedupe results? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Each run captures the bookmarks present at run time.

Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: Can I export the bookmarks of another account? A: No. Bookmarks are private. The automation exports the bookmarks of the connected account only.

Q: Do new bookmarks appear in old exports? A: No. An export reflects the bookmarks at run time. Run the automation again for an updated CSV.

Troubleshooting#

The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.

The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.

The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.

The automation stops before the run completes. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
