Why this automation is useful#
Consistent follow-up wins deals, but manual messaging does not scale. Copy-pasting the same message into dozens of conversations costs hours every week. Missed follow-ups cost pipeline.
This automation sends one message to one profile per run. The CSV logs every send with the conversation ID and the message date. The Replied column tells you who answered.
The log turns messaging into a measurable channel. Count sends and replies per campaign. Test different message texts and compare reply rates.
Use cases#
- Welcome every new connection. Send a short personal message after a connection accepts. Thank them and state one clear reason to talk. Early messages set the tone for the relationship.
- Follow up with engaged prospects. Message people who commented on your posts. Reference their comment in the first line. Warm context raises reply rates over cold pitches.
- Invite connections to your webinar or event. Send the event link with one sentence of value. Track replies in the Replied column. Follow up only with the people who respond.
- Re-activate dormant connections. Send a check-in message to old first-degree contacts. Ask a question about their current projects. Revived conversations feed the pipeline at zero acquisition cost.
- Run structured follow-ups for agency clients. Execute the second and third touch of a client sequence on schedule. Export the CSV as proof of work. Report sends and replies per campaign.
- Pitch after connecting as a freelancer. Reference the prospect headline or company in the message. Ask one question instead of sending a long pitch. Short questions get more replies than long introductions.
How to use it#
- Connect your LinkedIn account with the TexAu browser extension.
- Open LinkedIn Auto Message in the TexAu Desktop app.
- Paste the public profile URL into LinkedIn Profile URL.
- Write your text in the Message field.
- Run the automation.
- Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.
The automation sends one message to one profile per run. LinkedIn allows direct messages to your first-degree connections. Other profiles require an accepted invitation or InMail. Check the connection degree before large runs.
The automation uses your active LinkedIn session. Do not use the account heavily in the browser during the run.
Limits and limitations#

FAQ#
Q: How many messages can I send per day? A: TexAu sets a default limit of 80 executions per day. Each execution sends one message.
Q: Can LinkedIn restrict my account? A: Yes, if you exceed the platform limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits to reduce risk.
Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.
Q: What account do I need? A: A free LinkedIn account is enough to message your first-degree connections. Messaging profiles outside your network requires InMail or an accepted invitation.
Q: Does the automation dedupe results? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.
Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.
Q: Can I message someone I am not connected with? A: Direct messages work with first-degree connections. For other profiles, LinkedIn requires an accepted invitation or InMail. Check the connection degree before large runs.
Q: How do I know if the person replied? A: The Replied column shows YES or NO. The Conversation ID column links the send to the thread.
Troubleshooting#
The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.
The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.
The action did not appear on the platform. Check the run status in the History section. If the run failed, reconnect the account and run again.
The automation skipped my input. TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. A second run of the same input does not repeat the action.
The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
