Why this automation is useful#

Company pages carry data that never appears in a search results list. Founded year, specialties, headcount range, and growth percentages all live on the page.

Copying this data by hand takes minutes per company. Across a full target account list, manual research eats a workday. This automation extracts the page and writes one CSV row per run.

The growth fields help with timing. A company with rising headcount is hiring, which signals budget and new projects.

Use cases#

  1. Qualify a target account list as a sales team. Scrape every account on your list. Filter the CSV by headcount range and one-year growth. Reps call the growing accounts first.
  2. Build pitch dossiers as an agency. Scrape each prospect's page before the pitch call. Use their specialties, size, and website to tailor the proposal.
  3. Track competitors as a business owner. Export competitor pages twice a year. Compare founded year, headcount range, and growth percentages to follow their trajectory.
  4. Vet inbound leads as a freelancer. Scrape the company page of every inbound lead. Check the Active field and the employee count before you send a proposal.
  5. Enrich CRM company records as a RevOps team. Scrape your account list and load the CSV into your CRM. Map headcount range, industry, and website to firmographic fields.
  6. Source partners for a co-marketing program. Scrape candidate partner pages. Shortlist companies of similar size that are still active and growing.

How to use it#

  1. Connect your LinkedIn account with the TexAu browser extension.
  2. Open LinkedIn Company Scraper in the TexAu Desktop app.
  3. Enter the public company page URL, for example https://www.linkedin.com/company/texauhq/.
  4. Run the automation.
  5. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

Limits and limitations#

  • TexAu sets a default limit of 30 executions per day for this automation.
  • Each run scrapes one company page.
  • Only public page data is available. Fields the company left blank export as empty.
  • The automation uses your active LinkedIn session. Your account must stay connected in the browser extension.
  • If a run fails, reconnect the account in the extension and run again. LinkedIn layout changes can break a run.

FAQ#

Q: How many companies can I scrape per day? A: TexAu sets a default limit of 30 executions per day for this automation. Each execution scrapes one company page.

Q: Can LinkedIn restrict my account for scraping? A: Yes, if you exceed normal activity levels. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.

Q: What LinkedIn account do I need? A: A free LinkedIn account is enough for this automation.

Q: Does the automation dedupe repeated runs? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.

Q: Where do results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: Can I scrape a Sales Navigator company URL? A: Use a public LinkedIn company URL. The input expects the linkedin.com/company format.

Q: Why is a field empty in my export? A: Companies fill their own pages. If the company does not publish a field, the export leaves it empty.

Troubleshooting#

The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.

The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.

The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.

The automation stops before the run completes. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
