Why this automation is useful#

LinkedIn shows company employees across many search pages. Copying them manually is slow. This automation extracts the employee list of one company page into a CSV file.

The keyword input narrows the export to a role, skill, or school. A run with the keyword "CEO" returns only matching employees. You get a focused list instead of the full headcount.

The CSV contains the name, headline, job title, location, and profile URLs of each employee. It is ready for outreach tools and spreadsheets.

Use cases#

  1. Build an account-based outreach list. Pick one target account. Export its employees with the keyword set to your buyer title, for example "VP of Sales". Load the CSV into your sequencing tool and measure meetings booked per account.
  2. Poach talent from a competitor. Export employees of a competitor with a role keyword, for example "account executive". Filter the CSV by location. Contact the shortlisted profiles with your offer.
  3. Find decision-makers in small companies. Run the export with the keyword "founder" or "CEO" on SMB company pages. The result is a list of people who can sign a deal. Message them directly.
  4. Source candidates by school. Recruiters can filter employees by school name in the keyword input. Export a competitor's alumni from a target university. Pitch them the open role with the shared school angle.
  5. Size a competitor's teams. Run one export per department keyword, for example "sales" and "engineering". Compare the row counts. The counts show where the competitor invests headcount.
  6. Prepare a partnership conversation. Export the partner or alliances team of a target company. Identify the right contact by headline. Reference their role in your first message.

How to use it#

  1. Connect your LinkedIn account with the TexAu browser extension.
  2. Open LinkedIn Company Employees Export in the TexAu Desktop app.
  3. Paste the LinkedIn company URL. Use the format https://www.linkedin.com/company/ibm/
  4. Enter a keyword to filter employees by title, keyword, or school. Leave it empty to extract all employees.
  5. Set the extract limit.
  6. Run the automation.
  7. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

The automation uses your active LinkedIn session. Do not use the account heavily in the browser during the run.

Limits and limitations#

  • TexAu sets a default limit of 40 executions per day for this automation.
  • The input label states no maximum for the extract limit.
  • LinkedIn lists only employees who added the company to their profile. The export reflects that list.
  • The Available Results Count column excludes blocked accounts. Data from blocked accounts is not fetched.
  • The automation requires an active LinkedIn session connected through the TexAu browser extension.

FAQ#

Q: How many exports can I run per day? A: TexAu sets a default limit of 40 executions per day for this automation.

Q: Can LinkedIn restrict my account? A: Yes, if you exceed the platform rate limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.

Q: What LinkedIn account do I need? A: A free LinkedIn account is enough. Sales Navigator is not required for this automation.

Q: Does the automation remove duplicates? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.

Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: How do I extract only executives? A: Enter a keyword such as "CEO" in the keyword input. The export returns only matching employees.

Q: Is there a maximum number of employees per run? A: The input label states "Max. Unlimited". Large companies produce longer runs.

Troubleshooting#

The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.

The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.

The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.

The automation stops before it reaches my extract limit. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
