Remaining fields cover custom timelines, retweets enabled, media tagging, favourites count, and Super Follow states.

This table lists the main outputs. A real run returns more columns, about 42 in total. For example: "Websites" and "Location".

Why this automation is useful#

A retweet is a public endorsement. Retweeters of a post share an interest in its topic. This automation converts that signal into a CSV of full profiles.

The export carries bios, websites, locations, follower counts, and relationship states. You can see who already follows you. You can see who accepts direct messages.

Manual collection means opening every retweeter profile one by one. One run collects up to 1000 retweeters.

Use cases#

  1. Piggyback on a competitor's launch post. Export everyone who retweeted the launch. Filter by DM Open and follower count. Message them with a comparison offer and track the reply rate.
  2. Identify your loyal amplifiers. Export retweeters of your best posts. Mark the accounts that appear across multiple exports. Engage them first at your next launch.
  3. Find mid-size influencers in your niche. Extract retweeters of viral posts in your market. Sort by follower count. Pitch partnerships to accounts with engaged mid-size audiences.
  4. Prove campaign spread for clients. Agencies can export retweeter profiles after a client campaign. Add audience sizes to the report. The client sees who carried the message.
  5. Warm up cold outreach lists. Retweeters already endorsed the topic. A DM that references the shared post reads as relevant. Track reply rate against your cold baseline.

How to use it#

  1. Connect your X (Twitter) account with the TexAu browser extension.
  2. Open Twitter Retweet List Extractor in the TexAu Desktop app.
  3. Enter the post URL. Use the format https://x.com/username/status/123456789.
  4. Set the extract limit. The maximum is 1000 retweeters per launch.
  5. Run the automation.
  6. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

The automation uses your active session. Do not use the account heavily in the browser during the run.

Limits and limitations#

  • TexAu sets a default limit of 4000 executions per day and 2000 executions per hour for this automation.
  • The extract limit caps one launch at 1000 retweeters.
  • An active X (Twitter) session is required.
  • Retweets from protected accounts are not visible to the extraction.
  • X (Twitter) can change what retweet data is available at any time.

FAQ#

Q: How many retweet lists can I extract per day? A: TexAu sets a default limit of 4000 executions per day and 2000 executions per hour. Each launch extracts up to 1000 retweeters.

Q: Can X (Twitter) restrict my account for extracting retweeters? A: Yes, if you exceed limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits to reduce risk.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.

Q: What account do I need? A: A free X (Twitter) account is enough.

Q: Does the automation dedupe results? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.

Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: Does the export include quote posts? A: No. The automation extracts retweeters only. A quote post is a separate post with its own URL.

Q: What happens when a post has more than 1000 retweeters? A: The extract limit caps one launch at 1000 retweeters. The cap comes from the input setting.

Troubleshooting#

The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.

The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.

The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.

The automation stops before it reaches my extract limit. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
