Why this automation is useful#
LinkedIn shows birthdays inside notifications. Checking them manually every day is easy to forget. This automation writes the list to a CSV file.
The CSV contains the name, birth date, and public profile URL of each connection. Open the profile URL from the file and send your message.
A birthday is a natural reason to contact a connection. No pitch is required for the first message.
Use cases#
- Send a daily warm touch to your network. Run the export each morning. Open each profile URL and send a personal birthday note. Personal notes restart dormant conversations.
- Re-engage past clients as a freelancer. Filter the CSV for past clients. Send a birthday note with one line about your current availability. The note re-opens the conversation without a pitch.
- Keep client accounts active as an agency. Run the export on each managed account. Draft birthday notes for the account owner to approve. The network stays warm at scale.
- Re-open stalled deals. Filter the CSV for decision-makers in your pipeline. Send a birthday note with no pitch. A reply re-opens the deal conversation.
- Maintain investor and advisor relationships. Founders can run the export every week. Message connections you have not contacted in a long time. Small touches keep the relationship active.

FAQ#
Q: How many exports can I run per day? A: This automation has no built-in execution limit. Your account rate limits still apply.
Q: Can LinkedIn restrict my account? A: Yes, if you exceed the platform rate limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits.
Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.
Q: What LinkedIn account do I need? A: A free LinkedIn account is enough. Sales Navigator is not required for this automation.
Q: Does the automation remove duplicates? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.
Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.
Q: Whose birthdays appear in the export? A: Your connections who share their birth date with you. Members who hide their birth date do not appear.
Q: How often do I run it? A: Run it each morning before your outreach block. Daily runs keep the list current.
Troubleshooting#
The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.
The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.
The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.
The automation stops before the run completes. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.
The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
