Why this automation is useful#

The LinkedIn feed is the source of what your network discusses. Scrolling it manually does not produce a record. This automation writes up to 1000 post URLs from your feed to a CSV file.

The CSV contains the activity URL and the public post URL of each post. Open the URLs directly from the file. No manual scrolling is required to find a post again.

The sort input changes the feed you extract. Top shows the posts LinkedIn ranks highest for you. Recent shows the newest posts first.

Use cases#

  1. Build a daily commenting queue. Export your feed sorted by Top each morning. Open 10 post URLs and leave substantive comments. Consistent comments keep you visible to your network.
  2. Comment on prospect posts before the pitch. Export the feed and open posts from target accounts. Comment on those posts before you send a message. The prospect sees your name before your pitch.
  3. Spot trending topics in your industry. Export the feed sorted by Recent once a day. Review the URLs and note the topics that repeat. Plan your own posts around active discussions.
  4. Compile network activity reports for clients. Agencies can export feed URLs from a managed account each week. Add the URLs to the client report. The client sees what their network discussed.
  5. Collect post URLs for post-level extraction. The CSV is a clean list of post URLs. Feed the URLs into post-level exports when you need full content and engagement data. One list serves many analyses.

How to use it#

  1. Connect your LinkedIn account with the TexAu browser extension.
  2. Open LinkedIn Feed Scraper in the TexAu Desktop app.
  3. Choose the sort order. Top is the default. Choose Recent for the newest posts first.
  4. Set the extract limit. The maximum is 1000 posts per run.
  5. Run the automation.
  6. Open the CSV in your export folder when the run ends.

The automation uses your active LinkedIn session. Do not use the account heavily in the browser during the run.

FAQ#

Q: How many exports can I run per day? A: This automation has no built-in execution limit. Your account rate limits still apply. Each launch extracts up to 1000 feed posts.

Q: Can LinkedIn restrict my account? A: Yes, if you exceed the platform rate limits. TexAu adds random delays between actions. Keep to the default limits.

Q: Do I need a proxy? A: A proxy is not required for one account. Use one proxy per account when you run many accounts.

Q: What LinkedIn account do I need? A: A free LinkedIn account is enough. Sales Navigator is not required for this automation.

Q: Does the automation remove duplicates? A: TexAu dedupes repeated runs of the same input. Keep your CSVs clean by not re-running the same input.

Q: Where do the results go? A: Results save as a CSV in your export folder. You can also find past runs in the History section of the app.

Q: What data does the export contain per post? A: The activity URL and the public post URL. The export does not include post text, author names, or engagement counts.

Q: What is the difference between Top and Recent? A: Top shows the posts LinkedIn ranks as most relevant for you. Recent shows the newest posts first.

Troubleshooting#

The automation asks me to connect the account again. The platform session expired. Reconnect the account with the TexAu browser extension. See Connect accounts with the TexAu browser extension.

The run fails with an invalid URL error. Copy the URL exactly as the Inputs table shows. The automation checks the URL format before it runs.

The CSV has fewer results than expected. The platform shows less data to your account than the total count suggests. Private or restricted profiles do not appear. This is normal platform behavior.

The automation stops before it reaches my extract limit. You reached a rate limit window. Wait for the window to reset, then run the automation again. See Manage rate limits.

The same run fails several times. Note the exact error message from the app. Contact TexAu support and include this message and the automation name.
